What are Progress Statuses?
Progress statuses are a new feature that allows users to better manage their workflow around reviewing and clearing monitoring alerts. Previous to this change, ProviderTrust would use the Red/Yellow/Green system to communicate the result of a monitor record, and users could change the same color status to manage their review process. With the addition of Progress Statuses, we’ve separated your workflow from our results. Not only does this help to clearly show results vs review status, but it also allows a customized set of Progress Statuses to keep track of you and your team’s workflow.
For example, a brand-new alert will now have a Progress Status of “Needs Review” – this allows your team to quickly sort and identify the newest alerts that need to be addressed. Additionally, when you are ready to clear an alert you will update the Progress Status to “Resolved”. For any alerts that you are investigating or that requires additional follow-up you can indicate these as “In Progress”.
We offer a default selection of 4 progress statuses as indicated in the screenshot below. We can customize the verbiage of these statuses to mirror your teams’ workflow. For example, if you would rather see the verbiage “Cleared” instead of “Resolved” the ProviderTrust team can assist you with making this change. If you would like to add additional Progress Statuses such as “Contacting Administrator” – simply let the ProviderTrust team know and we will be happy to adjust!
You will also see an Overall Progress Status for every vendor. Similar to the Exclusion Status, it will show you whether there are any alerts with Progress Status that need review, are still in the process of review, or do not need any review.
What will happen to alerts I’ve already cleared?
Don’t worry – there won’t be any re-work for you or your team for alerts you’ve already cleared. We’ll start you off with a default set of Progress Statuses, and have mapped any work you’ve done to these new Progress Statuses so you are not having to re-review your work. For any new Red or Yellow alerts, they will default to a Needs Review status.
How will this impact my dashboard?
Similar to clearing by changing color statuses, Progress Statuses will also control what shows up under the Red or Yellow section of the dashboard. You will only be shown counts of Red and Yellow vendors for new alerts or alerts that were not previously cleared.
